Day 1: from Marrakech city – High Atlas – Telouet – Ait Ben Haddou – to Ouarzazate city

our adventure begins with a morning pick-up you , from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. We will drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260m), enjoying stops along the way for photos of Berber villages and sweeping landscapes. We’ll leave the main road to visit the lesser known Telouet Kasbah, once an important stronghold of the Glaoui family.

After lunch in a local restaurant, the road will takes us through the Ounila Valley, filled with small villages and fields hidden among the mountains.
The highlight of the afternoon is a guided visit of the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and filming location for countless movies and series. By evening, we reach Ouarzazate, known as the “Gate of the Desert,” where dinner and overnight stay await.

After breakfast, we continue through the Draa Valley, famous for its endless palm groves and ancient kasbahs. The road winds past small towns and desert villages, offering plenty of chances to stop for photos.
We’ll pause for lunch in Nkob or Alnif, then continue toward the Sahara. By late afternoon, the dunes of Merzouga appear on the horizon. Here, we swap our vehicle for camels and ride across the sands of erg chebbi just as the sun sets.
In the heart of the desert, a traditional luxury desert camp awaits. After settling into your private tent, enjoy a warm Moroccan dinner and an evening of Berber music around campfire beneath a blanket of stars.

An early wake up rewards us with one of nature’s greatest shows ,the sunrise over the Desert Sahara. After breakfast back at the village, we visit Rissani’s lively market (on market days) and stop in Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops.
The journey continues through lush palm groves and traditional villages until we reach the spectacular Todra Gorges. The towering canyon walls rise dramatically on either side, making it a favorite for walkers and climbers alike.
After free time for lunch and exploration, we travel onward to the Dadès Valley. Here, strange rock formations known as the “Monkey Fingers” and breathtaking mountain scenery make for a memorable afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay in the valley.

This morning begins with panoramic views of the Dadès Valley, dotted with fortified villages and kasbahs. Our route leads along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing through the Roses Valley and the palm groves of Skoura.
